The Cultural Association Trai is made up of a team of dedicated members who are deeply attuned to the needs of the community in which they operate.
The president of the association, Alina Mafa, is a professional with extensive experience in the NGO sector, having successfully managed dozens of cultural and artistic projects as a project manager.
The vice president, Rodica Popa, is passionate about Romanian traditional culture and gastronomy, while the auditor, Dumitru Popa, is a meticulous and responsible specialist with expertise in budget management.

Objectives
- Promoting education and lifelong learning: Creating learning opportunities, courses, and non-formal educational programs for developing young people’s skills and competencies.
- Encouraging young people’s active participation in community life: Support young people’s involvement in civic activities, volunteering and community decision-making processes.
- Supporting personal and professional development: Providing resources and opportunities for leadership, entrepreneurship, and career development.
- Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities: Ensuring that all young people—regardless of social status, ethnicity, gender, or background—have access to the same opportunities.
- Facilitating intercultural and interethnic dialogue: Creating a framework where young people learn to appreciate cultural diversity and collaborate constructively with peers from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Supporting young talents in arts and culture: Organizing cultural events and platforms for young artists to express their creativity and develop their artistic skills.

Activities
To achieve its stated objectives, the Cultural Association TRAI carries out a series of activities for young people, which include:

- Managing resources and facilities to support young people and youth organizations in Timiș County.
- Developing public policies for youth at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
- Organizing non-formal educational programs and vocational training courses for young people (including high school and university students).
- Creating and coordinating cultural activities and events for young people and the community (children, high school students, university students, adults, and the elderly).
- Promoting and supporting young artistic talents and cultural events organized by and for youth.
- Supporting youth entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship, and assisting non-governmental youth organizations.
- Organizing projects and activities for young Romanians around the world.
- Facilitating intercultural and inter-ethnic dialogue, promoting non-discrimination among young people.
- Encouraging the active participation of young people in all areas of society and in the decision-making process, through accessible structures and the application of structured dialogue principles.
- Collaborating with public authorities and institutions at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
- Promoting the development of consultative councils on youth issues in Timiș County.
- Accessing non-reimbursable funds from public and private sources.
- Collaborating with public and private entities to achieve the association’s objectives.
- Running programs and projects in international partnerships.
- Organizing large-scale events such as conferences, debates, workshops, training sessions, courses, competitions, campaigns, exhibitions, fairs, festivals, symposiums, camps, and summer schools, all aimed at young people.
- Organizing volunteer, practical training, apprenticeship, and internship placements.
These activities are designed to support the personal and professional development of young people, encourage their active involvement in society, and promote diversity, respect, and human rights.
